Hanomag Tractors
Hanomag, a German based company founded in 1835 has a long tradition of manufacturing steam engines and construction machinery. The company continued implementing innovative technologies, which resulted in the launch of the very first diesel engine based tractors in 1928.
After years of some further operations, the company’s farm machinery division merged with Rheinhstat in 1962. The merger brought about significant improvements together with the incorporation of new engines from Rheinhstat. New models were introduced in 1967.
However, in 1971 after producing over 250,000 models, the whole production of farm tractors stopped. It was then sold to Massey Fergusson and then taken over by Komatsu, the world’s second largest manufacturer of farm equipment. The company, to this day, remains as a self operating sub division of Komatsu and provides machinery on European as well as global market.
